Christmas Candle Lighting Service The 12 Powers Christmas is a very joyful time for us. Not only do we celebrate Jesus' birth, but we celebrate the birth of the Christ in us, as well. This Candle Lighting Service features twelve candles surrounding a central candle. The central candle reminds us of the CHRIST LIGHT that enlightens every person coming into the world.... it represents the light that guides us the whole year long. The twelve candles, which we lite, represent 12 SPIRITUAL IDEAS that we want to KINDLE within ourselves.

DIVINE ORDER is the first law of the Universe. Order leads us back to a more PEACEFUL level of existence and insures harmony. Confusion and chaos cannot exist where there is ORDER.

FAITH is like a magnet....it attracts into our life ALL THE GOOD that our Father has prepared for us. With faith, ALL things are possible.

With God as our Source of WISDOM, we will NEVER stumble....and with God's wisdom, we will judge, NOT by appearances, but with righteous judgment.

DIVINE LOVE is the great healer - the great harmonizer. DIVINE LOVE teaches us how to Love OURSELVES & OTHERS.

The word ENTHUSIASM is from the Greek words "IN THEOS"which means in God or "Inspired by God". ENTHUSIASM is our NATURAL response to life..... ENTHUSIASM changes a routine, ordinary day into a BRIGHT EXPERIENCE and enables us to enjoy EVERYTHING that we do.
With Enthusiasm, thru the Christ within, my enthusiasm for life and living is extended to all of God's creatures.


DIVINE LIFE is more than mere existence - it represents QUALITY of LIFE. When we follow Inner Guidance, we do not walk in darkness, but have the light of LIFE.

God's will for us is ABSOLUTE GOOD - good beyond our deepest desires....."The blessings of the Lord make RICH and He adds NO SORROW with it."

There is only ONE POWER in the Universe - God the Good Omnipotent - and this is the only POWER we desire to kindle in ourselves.

STRENGTH is our ability to keep on keeping on. Those who wait on the LORD shall RENEW THEIR STRENGTH...They shall MOUNT UP with WINGS of EAGLES.....they shall RUN AND NEVER weary.....they shall WALK & faint not.

IMAGINATION.....the ability to see BEYOND appearances......to see the good in all situations. DIVINE IMAGINATION is called the THIRD EYE or the EYE OF GOD. As we STILL ourselves toward the Light within, God Will think through us.

In Proverbs 3:13 we read: "Happy is the man who gets UNDERSTANDING....for the gain from IT IS BETTER than from SILVER....and its profit better than gold". When God appeared to Solomon
in a dream, and asked, "WHAT SHALL I GIVE THEE?" Solomon replied: "Give thy Servant an UNDERSTANDING heart."

Our last candle is for RENUNCIATION. This is also known as FREEDOM. This is the Spiritual Quality that enables us to release and let go of old thoughts and feelings.....this is the Spiritual Quality that allows us to be FREE OF THE PAST. Jesus said: "YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH...AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.
"I eliminate from my life everything that does not contribute to my spiritual growth and I increase my awareness in the Christ".
